Co-founded and curated TEDxCalgary in 2009. A city level TEDx dedicated to creating a garden of ideas and citizen empowerment. Curated, ideas worth spreading, coached speakers to perform on one of the highest pressure stages on the planet, shaping programs that created a Calgary that was best for the world.

Communications Training
What is peace and how can the world have more of it? If peace is not the absence of conflict, but rather the ability to manage it- then how do you empower humanity to engage in the work that it takes to make peace? Invited to train this high performance staff on cutting edge communications frames to empower their world leading peacemaking work.

Nearly half of all Canadians will face a Cancer Diagnoses in their lifetime. How do you make citizens aware of the remarkable advances in Oncology? The answer to that question led to the Cracking the Cancer Code Series. Where we coached world leading clinician scientists and researchers on the frontiers of cancer research so the public could get an understanding of the frontiers of cancer therapy.

How do you make Canada and Alberta even better? The answer to that was to harness the worlds largest engine for assembling human beings- a World Expo for creating a vector to build an even better Alberta and Canada by 2030. The problem was the last time a World Expo had taken place in Canada was in Expo 86 on Vancouver’s 100th Birthday! We assembled and led a team of 60 distinguished Canadians in this audacious bid.

How can a medical school engage the city it is serving? This highly engaging 5 year series was one of the answers, architected with specific intention to engage the entire City of Calgary city level with the world leading clinician scientists and researchers working on the future of health.

What happens when one of the world’s most experienced TEDx curators, finds out that TED Conference is up for sale? We built a remarkable team and assembled capital to compete with 100 global bids- that included sovereign wealth funds to movie studies. This intense 3 month effort brought forward a uniquely Canadian vision to inform the future of TED.
